Jean Randazzo Amato, of Miami, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 12, 2015 with her family by her side. She was 80 years of age.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 26, 1934, daughter of Stefano and Santina (Ferrante) Randazzo. Raised and educated in Cleveland, Jean and her family moved to Miami Shores in 1952. Before her retirement, Jean owned and operated Jean Marie Interiors in Miami for many years.
Survived by her beloved daughter, Maria Amato-Chuy, loving granddaughter, Gina Canoniga, sister, Sandra Galiano, nephew, Dr. Vincent Galiano and his wife Kimberly Galiano, niece, Calla Scully and her husband David Scully, niece, Paula Ferrante and great nephews, Cooper and Holden Scully. Also survived by her devoted caregiver of three years, Esther Joseph. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Vincent Amato who died in 1991 and her sister, Pauline Milano and brother-in-law, Louis Galiano.
Visitation on Wednesday, April 15th from 6:00 ~ 8:30 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street Hollywood. A Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 16th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2200 NE 191st Street, Miami. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens.
