Rita (Gramaglia) De Cesare Coceano, age 87, of Miramar, FL, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital, with her family by her side.

Born in New York, NY on July 13, 1930 to Albert Gramalia, an Italian immigrant, and Genevieve (Colona) Gramaglia, she was raised and educated in New York and moved to Ft. Lauderdale FL in 1969.

Rita was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and was a gifted cook. She opened her own restaurant, Rita's Italian Restaurant in Pembroke Pines in 1989. Her family meant everything to her and she always put herself second to her children. Her Sunday dinners were a delicious tradition treasured by all. She was hard-working, dedicated, generous, strong, and an inspiration to all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Americo "Mike" Coceano, and by her sons, Albert Wareham, William "Billy" Wareham (Rosanna Horsenail), Thomas Wareham (Patricia Garcia), and John Wareham (Cathy Garcia), and grandsons Blake, Thomas, Jonathan, Sarah, Josh, William Daniel, Christine Wareham-Yeager (Cory Yeager), Aley, Dominic, Nicholas, and Daniel; and great grandchildren Holly, Lacey and Cory Jr. Rita was preceded in death by her son, Charles De Cesare in 2008 and her sister Elizabeth Scandezzo.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, March 10 from 12-1pm at Fred Hunter Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, with a Catholic Prayer service beginning at 1 pm.

Interment will be private.

CandleTo My Most Dearest Aunt Rita,
You will forever be in my heart. I'll never forget your love and support you gave me during the loss of my mom. I don't know if I could have made it without you. Your children were so fortunate to have you as their mom. You definitely put your children first. You and my mom were the strongest, hardest working women I know. You are someone I will always look up to. I will always love you. Baby Jennie
