Veterans Day 2010

Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens proudly hosted its 56th Annual Veterans Day celebration on November 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Attended by over 400 Veterans and guest, the beautiful November day was enjoyed by all. Dignitaries from the City of Hollywood shared the morning, including Mayor Peter Bober welcoming the crowd. The Veterans Day Message was delivered by Lieutenant Colonel William R. Bridgemohan of the Unites States Southern Command. Others that proudly participated in the celebration included the McArthur High School JROTC, Rev. Clyde Bedenbaugh delivered the Invocation and Benediction, Mariah Martinez led the crowd in the “National Anthem” and “God Bless America”, The Hollywood Police Department Honor Guard provided the rifle salute and taps, and our local Veterans organizations proudly advanced the colors. Vitas Innovative Hospice Care graciously provided refreshments to those in attendance. Thank you all who participated and took time to remember the sacrifice made by our Veterans for our Freedom.
