Alexander Osorio, 19, of Hollywood, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
He was born in Queens (Elmhurst) New York on February 9, 1996, the son of Maricel Osorio and Alexander Arboleda. At the age of 4, Alexander moved with his family to South Florida settling in Hollywood. He graduated from South Broward High School where he was on the swim team. He earned his life guard certificate and worked for one year at the Hollywood YMCA. At the time of his death, he was a student at University of Central Florida majoring in mechanical engineering.
In addition to his beloved parents, Maricel Osorio and Alexander Arboleda, he leaves his step-father, Mike Elwell, maternal grandmother, Esther Ramirez, paternal grandparents, Maria Holguin and Jorge Arboleda, aunts, Marielly Osorio, Esther Osorio, Magnolia Osorio, Sandra Arboleda, Bridgette Arboleda, Uncles Jose Osorio and Jorge Arboleda, cousins, Michelle Leon, Frederick Lopez, Jose Ricardo Osorio, Andres J. Osorio, Kenneth and Brandon Arboleda. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Jose Osorio. Alexander was very much loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Visitation on Monday, February 15th from 10:00 ~ 1:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. A Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
I just found out today about your loss. I remember when we all went jogging together. Your son is a special young man and his spirit lives on with Jesus!!! I remember he was very sensitive and his kind words to me. He told me he liked me and my friend Brandon. Im so sorry. You have always been special to me and I pray that Gods peace is with you and your family
