Phil and I treasure the time we got to spend with mom. She was all about family - she was honest, forgiving and lived by the highest moral standards. Mom was not all talk; she taught by example. It is said your true character is revealed by your actions - even when no one is watching. Mom truly lived by doing what she believed was the right thing to do and that never faltered. We have so many wonderful memories. We miss you, mom. We love you always.

Greetings everyone. I wish this could be on better times, but time catches us all. I would like to share what I remember…
After spending the majority of the 1980s in Germany, we returned to the U.S. and took many vacations to Florida to see family. We generally ended up staying at her house, and we all enjoyed catching little lizards on the fence. At nights, many of the family would gather to play cards, and just mingle. Grandma would never take lip from us grandkids, and always had a snappy comeback for our sass. I remember that we pulled up to her house one evening, very late, and instead of waking her up, we erected the tent in her front yard. I bet that was a sight in the morning.
As the years went on, she moved in with us when we lived in Virginia, and during her 2 week visit to Florida, my brother’s python escaped his cage. Well, we searched the house high and low, with no snake to be found. Grandma was due to return soon, so we were desperate to find that thing. Yep, we found it in her room, on a shelf, in striking distance to an exposed hand. That could have ended badly. After dad retired from the army and moved to Ohio, grandma got the perfect in-law suite. She bonded with mom’s chihuahua with marshmallows and goodies.
Eventually, she moved back to Florida, but still remained an integral part of all our lives. Everyone can remember how she impacted their lives in one way or another. From her children all the way down to her grandchildren. Even in passing, she is still in our hearts, and will be forever missed.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn those that have died. Rather we should thank god that such people lived.” -GEN George S. Patton Jr.

I’ve know her since I was a kid I had many Christmases and many dinners over at her house with her family. I remember her and my mom having coffee while watching me and her kids play. She will be missed by all who knew her. Love Jose Soto

I remember Christmas's at Granny's house with Marion. She was a strong woman. I'm sorry for your loss.

Marian was such a sweet woman. We'll always remember her thoughtfulness in sending us beautiful hand-made cards and always asking after our children. Our lives were blessed for knowing her.
With deepest sympathies,
The Pemberton Family

You all are in our prayers. Your Mom was an integral part of our family for many years. I believe she loved watching our sons & grandkids growing up. We shared many meals at CD Roma's in St Pete, she loved the spahgetti & somehow Marian always wore a white blouse & guess what? Then she wore her napkin as a bib. Good times. She will be missed. Heartfelt sympathy, the Bonneau Family
